Mobile Computing Cart PS2.0
Secures, charges, transports, and manages a variety of devices
The Dell Mobile Computing Cart provides secure storage, easy transport, centralized charging, and remote management for mobile computing devices. Ideal for schools, libraries, labs, large retailers, and organizations with limited IT resources or changing infrastructure, this cart makes it easy to share and move technology between environments. It also provides a locked location to store and charge up to 30 devices after hours and a central location for remotely managing multiple mobile client devices with a Device Management Appliance, such as Dell's KACE Mobile Device Management offering.
Accommodates up to 30 mobile computing devices
The Dell Mobile Computing Cart securely stores, charges, and transports up to 30 mobile computing devices at a time. Horizontal shelving fits most tablets, netbooks, notebooks, and Ultrabooks up to 14 inches. This open shelving offers flexible storage to accommodate a variety of form factors and screen sizes for both Dell and non-Dell devices and to keep up with your organization's changing needs.
On-board Ethernet switch for remote updates
This computing cart features an onboard 10/100 Mbps Dell PowerConnect 3548 48 port managed Ethernet switch and cabling. This allows you to remotely manage multiple client devices and perform other IT updates on all devices at the same time. There is also space for an optional wireless access point (WAP) next to the Ethernet switch.
Locking steel doors secure equipment
This computing cart offers two-sided access, secured by locking steel doors (locks and keys are included). The doors slide open from opposite sides to allow easy access to the 15 systems located on each side and to reduce the space needed during loading and unloading.
Compact design for tight spaces
Measuring just 25.2 x 37 x 41.7 inches (W x L x H), this computing cart has a compact footprint that makes it easy to maneuver between areas when sharing resources. Made from mostly aluminum materials and with 4-inch medical-grade dual-wheel casters and an ergonomic handle, the cart is also lightweight and easy to push.
PowerShuttle technology charges devices
When you plug the computing cart into an available wall outlet, PowerShuttle load-sensing technology assesses the total charging needs of the items plugged into the cart and organizes the charging zones based on need. This prevents charging an empty zone, which saves energy and charges devices faster. This technology also powers two additional outlets that can be used for two extra devices, such as projectors or laptops. LED status indicators are plainly visible and show main power to the cart, power to the aux outlets, the zones receiving power, and whether the cart is over temp.
Heat management system protects assets
To protect stored equipment, system heat is managed by installed fans and an airflow management system that is controlled by a thermostat. The cart will automatically shut down if over temp.
Easy access to adapters and outlets
The service compartment's secure removable panels give easy access to AC adapters and power outlets, and adapters neatly stow and strap into the shelves (AC adapters sold separately). Installation and service is simple thanks to the cart's clutter-free manual plugging cable-management system, which works for all connector locations. Cable management on the shelves keeps internal cords ordered while a recessed cable management wrap keeps the external Ethernet cable and power cord unobtrusive and neat.
